Don’t Just Take Our Word For It!

Great hotel in a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lucerne. The staff was superior. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Nice Matin restaurant was very good. We loved being on the Upper West Side. The hotel is in a much calmer neighborhood. We were within easy walking distance to the subway and Central Park. There are many great restaurants close by. I will definitely stay here when I come back to NYC.

NYC Hidden Gem

The Lucerne Hotel is the hidden gem of NYC. Located a block from the 1 train and 2 blocks from Central Park, it is conveniently located to nearly everything you want to do. The room is well appointed, there is an outstanding restaurant on premises, a Duane Reade across the street for necessities, and the Amsterdam Market across Amsterdam Avenue makes outstanding breakfast and lunch sandwiches. This was our second stay at The Lucerne, and I am sure that our family will be back many more times.

We had an amazing stay! The staff made us feel like family, and the service was exceptional. Our room was always spotless, and the reception team was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience!

There are reasons we keep going back.

Great location with excellent restaurants nearby, including Nice Matin at the hotel. Very short walk to AMNH. Nice walk across Central Park to The Met. Reasonable walk to Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall. Near subway for longer treks around the city. Comfortable, friendly hotel. We keep going back.

A terrific experience

We very much enjoyed our 5-night stay. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet, given that it's on a busy street. The neighborhood is wonderful. We also enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. Highly recommended.

Upper West Side Stay!

Location, location, location for me. Stayed here over the past 30 years. If you're looking for a serene Upper West Side real NYC neighbourhood experience, stay here. This neighbourhood has everything, and The Lucerne is an exceptional boutique hotel with exceptional staff. Many rooms/suites to choose. It was the pre-Thanksgiving Parade events that initially brought me here (proximity to the Museum of Natural History, Central Park...)

Early check in, beautiful corner room, spacious, especially for NYC, quiet lobby, excellent location, comfy bed. Call out to Debra at the front desk, who took great care of us! We left another UWS hotel early and switched to the Lucerne. Wish the whole stay had been here!

Comfortable, spacious, and quiet in a convenient location on the Upper West Side, our favorite neighborhood! No matter which room we stay in over many visits to the Lucerne Hotel, we always feel comfortable and not squeezed into a small space as in other hotels.

Great location, easy to get around the city, and we feel comfortable walking the neighborhood day or night. Always wonderful rooms, comfortable beds, and good service staff. Our go-to for our NYC stays. *It is pet friendly, so you may hear an occasional bark...

Great UWS Experience

A great, overall hotel pick. Friendly staff members. Well-operating elevators. Decently appointed hotel room with a very comfortable bed. Great Upper West Side location. Very good adjacent restaurant, Nice Martin. I would and will stay again.
